About Us

Graduates from the Western Cape College of Emergency Care (WCG CEC), have been put through stringent training programmes to ensure they deliver context-specific patient care that is aligned to evidence-based practices in the emergency setting. These concepts and practices are aligned to our region-specific protocols, which is largely aimed at ensuring continued care in a manner that decreases the overall burden on the health care system.

The WCG CEC further strives to cultivate a sense of autonomy within the cader of practitioners, in addition to creating lifelong learners. Also, the WCG CEC aims to empower its graduates to become the flag barriers of change and development within the profession.

Our Vision is to be the cornerstone of quality emergency medical care education and training.

Our Mission is to develop and sustain an empowering environment where, through teaching, learning and research, aligned with best practice, our students and staff can apply knowledge that contributes to quality patient care.
